| Five minutes walk from the main street of Nelson the fire is roaring and the atmosphere relaxed. Our hostel, Tasman Bay Backpackers is warm, spacious and homely. We Georgie and Peter are ex-travellers and together with our awesome staff we enthusiastically share local knowledge and offer genuine hospitality. Year round we serve up our famous hot chocolate pudding and ice cream every evening. Fromt May - Oct we offer free winter breakfast which inc homemade bread. We have a full travel desk and can advise and book activities and travel throughout the region. We also have quality camping gear available for hire.
Activity operators and buses pick up and drop off at our front door. Large off-street car park.
FREE bikes for getting to the beach and exploring. Free oil for cooking, coffee, tea and sugar.
Outside relax in our well used hammock or on the swing chair. Organic edible garden in the making including feijoas, kiwi fruit, citrus trees, rhubarb and herb garden.
Inside relax in our large, colourful living room in front of the log fire. Lots of books, games and great music.
We also run a hostel in Picton called Sequoia Lodge Backpackers and offer similar things there. |
